Hotel Spa FAQ's

How do I book the spa?

Spa Days and Spa Breaks can be booked via an email booking request here. Individual treatments can be booked online here, call us on 01285 651 761 or email spa@strattonhousehotel.com. We will just need your address, telephone number and debit/credit card details.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive at the spa reception 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time
to check in, change and start to unwind.

What if I’m late for my appointment?

Arriving late will mean that you will have less time to relax and enjoy your treatment, as we will need to finish the treatment on time so the next guest is not delayed.

If you think you might run late to your appointment, then please contact us as soon as possible to see if we can rearrange your treatment times. This is not always possible - if you arrive late to your reservation this can lead to treatments being cancelled and will still be charged. It is your responsibility to make sure you arrive on time.

If I book a treatment, do I get Spa Access?

When booking a treatment, you do not automatically get Spa Access included. This is an additional extra charge and must be booked directly with us. (please email or call us to do this)

What if I have any medical issues or am pregnant?
On your first visit to the spa, we will ask you to fill in a confidential health questionnaire. Just
make your spa therapist aware if you have any medical conditions, are pregnant, or had any recent
operations. We may advise you to seek medical advice before using the spa facilities.

What should I wear in the Spa?
Bring your swimsuit to wear while you are enjoying the spa facilities, and we will provide a cosy
robe, slippers and towels. If you are only having a treatment, then you will just need to wear your
underwear, or your therapist can provide disposable pants.

How much does it cost to use the Spa facilities?

Relax and enjoy the spa facilities for 1 hour (£25) or 3 hours (£45), even if you haven’t booked a
treatment. Our packages include complimentary use of the spa facilities.

Can I use my mobile device in the Spa?
To be considerate to all our guests, please leave your phone or other mobile devices switched off
in your locker, and enjoy some ‘screen-free’ time.

Are there any age restrictions on who can use the Spa?
Our treatments and facilities are available to all those aged 18 and over, or over 16's with an adult.

Are there lockers in the Spa?

Lockers will be provided along with towels, robes and slippers.

Please note, we will only allow you to reschedule your reservation with us once before we will take full payment for your booking. If you wish to amend your treatment choice then please provide us with 24 hours notice.

Otherwise we reserve the right to charge the full amount of the reservation.

Do you offer spa treatments for men?

All treatments are designed for men or women.

Should I talk during my treatment?

This is entirely up to you. If you have any questions regarding your treatment however you should feel free to ask your therapist. Most therapists will ask for feedback during treatments such as whether the pressure is comfortable or not. You do not have to talk; after all you are there to relax.

What if I fall asleep during a treatment?

Many people fall asleep during their treatment, and that is fine.  We carry on with the treatment.

Should You Shave Before A Spa Treatment?

This is a very common question and the answer depends on the type of treatment you’ll be receiving. For example, it’s recommended that men shave the night or day before receiving a skin care treatment. For women, shaving before certain spa services could cause irritation.
